Re: Wireless problem
check your firewall settings, and those of the internet anti-virus , you might be blocking your own connections . Also scan for another PC using your connection , you might have a hitch hiker using your bandwidth. If all else fails , downgrade to Internet Explorer 6 and see if that helps , if you dont have IE 7 already , then upgrade and see if that helps. You may have a bad piece of hardware and need a new wireless card , Staples will let you try a new one for 14 days and full refund (no restock fee) :2

Rock,
Is the router giving the PC an IP address? Go to your command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" and then press enter.
If so, try to ping some websites. See if this computer is talking to the network, then let me know where you stand.

does the wireless one run Vista?
If so, there is an issue with vista that makes wireless act screwy. It will see the network, but not connect even if all the settings are right and you have full bars. I have been working with this issue with Microsoft on my wifes new laptop. Currently the best I have on it is that after enough reboots when the sun and moon are aligned with Venus and Jupiter is in the 4th quadrant, then it will work perfectly, until the next reboot...
They say a patch is on the way, but I dont know if I will run vista on it long enough to see it.Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.
