Thread: EA LINK

Trying to re-install Northern Strike for BF 2142...only problem is I don't get a download button in ea link. NS shows up, butno options...anybody got any ideas?

Im sort of a expert Angel on EA link, why I cant tell you , why.........., I just re-installed EA link recently and alot of missing text and buttons re-appeared, so un-install and re-install it, after restarting, as long as you know your EA link email and the P/W it will know what you bought , and be ready for re-download if you need to again. BTW a new version of EA link coming very soon! :2

Yeah, full reinstall would be the best idea, methinks. If that doesn't work you can get someone adept at delving into the bowels of an application to fix it for you.

EA link... EA's crappy version of steam... *sigh* so much worthlessness.

it is a full install...I just got the setup file from someone...did the patch, then NS, then the patch and now I am testing...cross my fingers (this is all on another computer while I type away here.)

Okay. So my game worked just fine up until last morning at 6am. Today, I open up my game, and I try to join a friends game. I get the session not found error. So I assume there a problem with his server, so I try and load up my own lobby. It was a survival game, and I tried to launch the game with just me and three computers. I get the same error. I try and join a versus game, again, I can't connect.


So I check to see if my friends are online, it saysd I can't connect to the steam servers. So okay, I look at my achievements, it says I don't have any.

I restart my computer, logout of steam, then log back in, and load up my game. Same problems. I ever tried to sign into steam using the overlay. It says I logged in, I saw my profile, but as soon as I close the overlay, I get logged out.

Suggestions?


EDIT: Okay, I am now assuming that steam servers are simply swamped from the massive ammount of people downlaoding the SDK. If you have another idea, still reply, but I guess I'll just try to play later.

Partially the same issue here. Logged in, and none of my acheivements are there, and neither are my friends.

I believe I'm having the same, or a similiar issue. I get an error saying that that it could not connect to the Steam cloud. All of the online options in L4D don't work; it attempts to connect for one second and then disconnects.

Also, I am getting a random Steam connection error in an unrelated game (Zombie Panic) that says could not connect to Steam servers.

Both worked as of four hours ago. Is there a known issue with Steams servers today? Thanks.

Steam servers have gone offline again. They should be fixed sometime in the morning when somebody over there notices the janitor has unplugged the master server again.

Crisis has been averted. Steam is back online, I am now messing around with Hammer. Life is good.
