The budget was 500$ shipping and all so I came in at $498.97 :9
It was time for a major upgrade and this is just a start. Later on I can upgrade to a better case and up the CPU.
The only thing I will be picking up at frys is the hard drive and a new monitor. I ordered 2nd day shipping and at the moment it is in step 3 so hopefully maybe by thursday or friday i should get the parts.

Re: My new rig
add higher wattage PSU to that future upgrade list. if you OC, SLI, blah blah..you can scrape by at a 500 but that is cutting it close, also if it's the PSU that came with the case, USUALLY not all the time, but usually they are inconsistent in their voltage regulation...so they typically aren't as stable as your "aftermarket" ones.
not doggin' on your system or anything...i'm excited for you, just sometimes people overlook the PSU which is just as vital or more than some of the other heavy focused items.

Yea i actually had a thermaletake psu but it went over 500 with the 2nd day shipping so i had to opt for a case/psu.

Re: My new rig
first thing first jason this is not gg so don't expect ur skillevel to skyrocket
secondly everything looks good on the rig but the vid card
now u know i am a amd/ati fanboy but that ati card was not the smartest choice, i would have suggested putting some extra food stamps towards a nvidia 8800 or 8600, but now there will be something u can use as an excuse so it works out :9
