Well, I got the survivor_upgrades.smx file and got the meta thing installed first, then the sourcemod thing.

Basically I followed the directions found here: But I still seem to be missing something in order to get the mod to run.

First install metaMod and then sourceMod second.

Then move the .smx files to l4d/addons/sourcemod/plugins

    Restart the server and voila!

BUT! before even installing metaMod you need to have a server config file up with the necessary things. Google search "L4D Server" and you'll find a prehashed one to copy and past.

OK, thanks. I did all that, but I don't have a server.cfg file. I was trying to use one, but for some reason, once I do that, it makes the response of the server dog slow from the gui side. Just typing letters into the console window is ridiculously slow, so something is getting hosed when I do that, and I need to find out what is making it act that way. It does not do it with my other orange box stuff.
