when i double click left 4 dead shortcut it comes on with the valve logo then the source logo and then the video then it loads for me. when it comes onto the menu and i try clicking 'PLAY VERSUS'- online-friends-group and i try to join a game or find one in the lobby i come to the menu of the game and then a fraction of a second after it closes and says this problem:

this is no virus its just a website to were the picture is of my error i will be really gratefull if you guys could help me as i have baught this game and spended hard earned money,

Some people think they can outsmart me... maybe (sniff) maybe... I've yet to meet one that can outsmart my bullet...

If you are connected via a router, try opening the Steam ports on your router and see if that helps.
