ok i dont know if this is considered a crash or graphics error. but my L4d and L4d 2 are both unplayable due to the fact that after 10 or so mins of gameplay it stutters so badly that i cant play anymore and the only thing that helps is restarting steam and my l4d.

please help me

all i want to do is kill zombies!!!!!

I suspect that this could be an overheating problem, your PC is more than capable of running the game without stuttering. Is this a recent problem or a problem that you have always had?
When was the last time that you cleaned the dust from the inside of your computer?

Another problem could be other resource intensive programs running in the background slowing everything down.
Try Gamebooster, this will stop all non essential programs from running while you are gaming, if you put it in gaming mode. You can download this at |MG| Game Booster 1.30 Download

Also when this happens take a look at the Event Viewer in windows to see if any errors occur, this could highlight any software and also hardware faults.

Your specs look OK. For starters, I would delete you current video drivers and roll back to the 178 Version or another earlier version and see if that helps.

Thanks guys went to clean my videocard and the fan wasnt spinning figure its overheating. great to finally know what the problem is.... hopefully santa brings me a new one for christmas!!!!!!!!!! thnx guys
