I mean, what can be better than that? The game needs a little bit more action. Like infected dogs, cats, etc. I do love animals but L4D can't be all about humans. It gets kind of boring.

TBH i really want to see the survivors walk into a zoo filled with infected animals and giant mutated leeches and infected hamsters that'll crawl inside your skin and rip you apart from the inside

Mutaded dogs could be cool actually. Probably faster and smaller. Like a Hunter that's speeded and constantly crouching.

Though that's the problem, it would be very much alike a Hunter. :P Same way of attack really, same way to get rid of them, punch/shoot them off someone.

Would be fun if they were like in CoD. Where you had to speedclick to get rid of it. Would be the first infected where you can actually do something fully yourself?

But again... then how would the AI handle it. And it'd also remove the whole cooperation factor.

Sigh. :P

I have been imagining infected animals since the beginning, it wouldn't be all the same common infected anymore.
Imagine eagles, dogs, horses, and the "tank" version of animals, elephant or hyppos.
Lions, dogs, bears, would all have the same effect of the hunter, they pounce and start biting away.

Crocodiles would be a great explanation as to why survivors suddently dissapear after falling into water, I mean, can't they swim? :P
