Ok i misunderstund. I thought that the optimizer allowed me to change some settings to make it faster. I do have it installed. Ran 3d again and got 2107 i gained about 150. My computer seems to run alot faster but 3d says its worse. Why would that be?

Ok, so a x1650 is really weak. You might just wanna get a better video card and your performance will explode. And then you can dump it in a new mobo in the furute. But the following is a pretty sweet rig including a bad ass video card for under 600 bucks. Of course deals change so in a month the package might change but this should give you an idea.

    Abit Mobo, 90 bucks.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127031

OCZ DDR2 800, 45 Bucks (25 after mail in rebate).
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227189

    Intel E6550 Core 2 Duo, 170 bucks.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115030

    eVGA 8800GT 512, 270 bucks.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130296

grand total: 575 bucks and this rig will kick your old one into oblivion. this machine will run all the new games pefectly and you will be able to turn the settings on any TTP games all the way up and then some.

Most games and applications these days are not designed to run on multiple processors. So if you run BF2 for example it only goes through one core. And with two cores there is an overhead in determing which instruction goes to which core. But your system will run multiple programs on multiple cores. So if you are running Xfire and BF2 Xfire may be running on one core while BF2 is running on another. Does this make sense? Essentially multi-core detracts (very) slightly from running a single core program (like most games) but when running several programs (which everyone does) you get benefits. Future games will take advantage of multi core, in fact I believe Crysis and Bioshock do.

Really man, if you just order that 8800GT and stick it out for a mobo and proc awhile your gaming performance will explode big time.

NP man, just send me a box of hundred dollar bills! J/K but seriously I think a video card can help you extend your current systems life as far as gaming.

    good luck!
