The quick and easy route to go is a standalone DVD burner. You don't have to worry about specialized hardware/software that way. It lets you put in menus and chapters and basic editing, but is really easy to do quick VHS to DVD conversions.
The harder route would be to get a video capture card and hook a VCR up to it via s-video or coax cable and then capture it using software. I think Windows Movie Maker/DVD Maker that come with Windows XP/Vista can capture direct from those devices. I've done a couple myself and it came out looking okay, but it would have been a lot less work/effort with the standalone DVD burner.

UK / European Players?
Hi I'm based in London and looking for players to "friend" on Live to play some L4D2 and maybe some L4D1.
Cousins from across the pond are fine too but the time difference can sometimes make it hard to get games together.
I tend to like playing the campaign on Advanced / Expert and Realism too but I'm pretty flexible. Cool folk to play with is the most important thing. Beginning to get back into versus too now they have a realism option and I've been giving all the mutations a go.
I still have few achievements left to get especially Still Something to Prove and The Real Deal. Happy to try for those and help others out.
What I'm not interested in is playing cheats / glitches or trash talking kids. Just not my cup of tea.
Oh and I use a mic and prefer to play with others who do too.
Interested? Add me. I'll be on playing later tonight.
