Putting a pasword on is great, I suggest TKIP. Also turning off the SSID broadcast will keep the standard Joe from seeing your network via most Wireless config wizards.
Lastly try using MAC authentication. If your not on the list you won't get in (again for 99% of users).

Page 55 has info about the security features. Use WPA/WPA2-PSK mode. For Encryption Technique, choose AES. This is more secure than TKIP. Rather than a password, I recommend a passphrase. Something that's fairly long but easy to remember.
I definitely recommend making sure you're running the latest firmware (also available on Belkin's wesbite.) That'll ensure you have the full feature set offered for wireless security.
