if you are using windows XP, from the start menu -> run -> winmsd
Take some screenies of the data there. It gives you all the data that the device manager does and then some... I bet there is a nicer 3rd party program to do it, but I have never needed one...
CPU Z will give you a lot of info about Mobo, Proc, RAM, I would use that and snapshot that stuff. and then use winmsd for the other things...
winmsd does not exist in Vista however... does anyone know it's equivalent?

once you have finished the test on the top right hand corner there will be several links and one of them will be for your hardware.
Detailed list, that is how I get a good list.

hit windows+R type in dxdiag
click the "save all information" button after the progress bar finishes. The send the txt file result to whomever needs it.
