I think RAID is well worth it for performance, at least with the only RAID I am experienced with (NVraid on the 590 and 680i chipsets). I am sure that the family of 5x and 6x chipsets from Nvidia all implement RAID similarly. But, if you are not technically inclined enough to bother, installing and dealing with RAID can present a problem. And there can be numerous other problems should you want to migrate your RAID to another system, or if one drive in your array fails, etc.
Sorry to threadjack, I have just had a very different, and quantifiable experience using RAID and wanted to express that fact.

I suppose a zombie short film quallifies as fan fiction...
Since I had to create the story, write the script and than shoot and edit. I have both L4D games and I've always been obsessed with zombies. And since I'm a third year student at film school it only makes sense that my most recent film "TIME MANAGEMENT" is a revisionist zombie film about a college student trapped in a dorm room during a zombie apocalypse. It ended up winning my college film festival. Also, if you watch you'll notice I had to put Left 4 Dead in it as both an homage and a tool for the narrative. For those fellow filmmakers and zombie lovers here, you may want to give it a look. I'd appreciate the views/criticism/comments/etc.
Thanks.
