Important background info: So I have this friend who's very ticklish. One day I was tickling her thighs and squealed "OoOo, that's my bum!" Me and my other friends burst out laughing, and this sort of became an inside joke that we would commonly recite.

On one hand, the ice had been broken and we were talkative for the rest of the campaign. On the other hand though, most of it was teasing me. I'd get incapacitated and the person rescuing me would say "You didn't land on your bum did you?" Someone would start healing me and say "Here, let me patch up your bum". And once a smoker grabbed me, someone shouted "Quick! Don't let it attack his bum!"

This is actually a rant?

In their defense, hearing someone say "ooo thats my bum!" after being clobbered usually tells them that you're playing the game just to enjoy yourself and have fun. Which successfully broke the ice like you said. If I play with 3 guys with all mic's and either I say something unexpected and funny or someone else, it usually becomes an inside joke which is fun to laugh at. It's great to become friends with more casual friends so you don't have anything to lose.

They way they seemed to be teasing you sounds more playful than insulting, they may just want to find something to laugh about during the match and just have a good time as well. And lets be honest...what's funnier than hearing "ooooh thats my bum" from your teammates during a match? Hell, we NEED players like that in the community

Ah, I know I know, I wasn't upset. It was more of something to share than a rant really (eww, maybe I put it in the wrong section then, although I felt it was appropriate). Yes, it's nice to be playing with people who aren't dead serious about the game and I still had fun, but it was just kind of embarrassing :S

Thats one reason i dont have a mic. But they were really immature; but it's safe just to laugh along, it's a game, it's suppose to be fun!

Thee who laughs at himself never runs out of things to laugh about.
