cpu and gpu temp ok???

Using PC Wizard, I check the processor and video card temps. The processor temp is 37C, its an e6850, no overclock. The video card temp is 53C, its an nvivia 8600 512mb, and this is all at idle.

Is this safe operating temps??!!

I can imagine what they ramp up to when in 2142 game or crysis. It doesnt get choppy or slow down or even seem hot blowing out the back. No artifacts showing up in graphics and the FPS stay steady..... just a little concerned for the money i have spent, you know.

your CPU starts throttling back at 70C and your Graphics card can run up to 90c or somethign without worry

Is this "CPU core temp" or "CPU temp"? Big difference.

CPU temp is higher because it's from a sensor on/below the socket in your motherboard. The core temps are being read directly from the core itself.

Yeh, you are probably ok. Right now my CPU is idling at 28 and cores are at 43 (E6400). But it's probably 70F in my house right now, a little bit colder than usual. Usually I'm probably 5 degrees hotter, idling at 33 cpu and 48 core.

edit: my 8800gt gpu is idling at 52 right now...
