Same kind of Connection problems... But no answers??
I have read for the last 2 days on the problems I am having and does not seem to have 1 clear answer.
I have been running wireless for the last 6 months with no problem. I had The Cable Co come out and hook me up hard wire and I have had nothing but problems for the last 3 days. They came back out and replaced the box. It works fine on just browsing but when I log into BF2 Multiplayer and join a game, it loads game then kicks me saying "you have lost connection".
I disable the LAN and switch back to my wirless network and it works great. I upgraded to the turbo. My speed test shows over 18000 - 25000 kbs download and 1500-2000 upload.
Heres what I got:
From the wall cable go's to Motorola modem, then CAT 5 to my integrated slot on back of PC. (could that be bad)?
Integrated Gigabit Ethernet Intel Adapter
Seperate Wireless PCI (for the old wireless still installed)
SHould I get a PCI Network adapter?
I have been reading some things on my ISP provider (timewarner) ports for BF2 not being open. If so how do you open those ports?
Getting frustrated and about to give the thing back and stick with the wireless. It's just I need to run and manage a huge web based application for work (call center).
Thanks for any help,
Remy

Re: Same kind of Connection problems... But no answers??
Stuff like this makes me wish I could sit down in front of it and look, I could probably fix it.
My first suggestion: Spend the $20 and stick a PCI ethernet card in, just to eliminate that as a problem.
Is there problems with other games, or is it limited to BF2?
How about other network apps? FTP, E-mail, etc? Is everything else working right?
How about file transfers? Go download a large file from like Fileplanet or something? Could it be that putting a load on the network is causing some packet loss? That would end up being something with your cable company / thier equipment.
Not sure what else to tell you without a few more details.
