Connection issues
So here it is. The cable guy came and (so called) repaired my connection issue. The thing is I can connect to the internet and surf the web but now when I load the game (to the point where I should be able to choose kits and a squad) It says there is a problem with my connection . I can't seem to get past that point. I was not having that issue before he came out. Any thoughts? I made sure all my settings were on low as far as my firewall and such.
I want to play and now I can't. When I do finally get in it doesn't last long. It freezes up on me again with the same issue .

Re: Connection issues
I've been thinking, maybe you should try debugging other areas like your ethernet card, just like Rooter050 mentioned. I strongly believe your issues are not BF2 related. Your connection issues actually show up on other applications, VOIP on X-fire. My thoughts are either are with cable internet service or your ethernet card. Still, reformatting is a good option.....

You might want to try a speed test to see if you are getting good speeds. http://speedtest.net/ Check your latency also.

Re: Connection issues
Dusty,
have you tried the tracert command to the BF2 server? I have noticed that since the server has moved my connection is so intermittent and I have so many datapack losses that I cannot even play. I turned down all my settings to minimize the data transfer, and that helps only marginally.
I've tried to run the tracert command to the BF2 server, and it won't map the path to the server.
try running the tracert command and send me a note whether or not your test is successful.
