I ran the same GPU with that exact CPU on the A8N SLI Premium. Worked beautifully.

I gotta say Deus, one of the reasons I sold that chip was that all the good 939 mobos were gone! Leaving Shuttle, ECS, etc. I had already given my Asus A8N SLI premium to my brother with a 3500+ in it. I then figured I was going to build another killer rig out of it (the FX-60), but when I went to look for Mobos I was like "holy crap! they are all gone!"

Again, good luck. And thanks SFG for all your input.

Oh yeah, while Ihave your ear SFG, you said Lightsmark was CPU intensive and not GPU intensive correct? A lot of people seem to think it is GPU benching but you said it was processor. Just wanting to clarify for a project.

It is a gpu test but the cpu factors in on it pretty good. I noticed this when I went from my dual core amd to my core 2 duo .. same vid card tho and two radically different scores... amd score on lights mark with 8800gt was 289 .. lightsmark with core 2 at 3.2ghz is 456.

Ok, so yeah, same exact problem as before. Like I already said in my earlier post, the BIOS won't let me do ANYTHING to the FSB. I can change every other setting, but as soon as I change the FSB, upon POST post it starts flashing "Over CPU clock right now!!!", reboots, then says "Skip over CPU Clock Frequency 280...".

It's the board, not the chip.

L4D2 Microphone Crashing between map loads

Anyone heard of mic's going to straight static when loading into a game? I have to use Teamspeak just to play with friends due to my mic working sometimes and others it doesn't.

Sometimes it works on the first map, then when we move to the next map (say Streets) and we load in, then the mic will just produce static. Then it is possible that on Mall, the mic will be back. I have to close Steam and reload it to get the mic to work again. Leaving out of L4D does not work.

Teamspeak never fails though, just Left 4 Dead 2.

I have a rocketfish soundcard and all the drivers are updated, but don't really have a clue on how to figure this out.
