yeah ati ain't bad at all. i have the x1950 Pro and allll the maps run well over 100fps!

Price wise the ati was a better deal for me the reading i done rated it with the 8800 gt for all most half the price i will deff have to keep up on driver updates and wait until someone comes out with aftermarket drivers for this card

3850 is a decent card but it is no where close to an 8800GT.

Yeah the 3850 is actually a great card...in it's price range. It is not fair to compare it to the 8800 GT as the cost difference is substantial (at least 100 dollars but up to 150 for the higher end models). Nvidia only recently released an inexpensive (less than 200 dollar) 88 series card: the 8800 GS. And I have not seen it reviewed on tom's guide, but I would imagine it is probably quite comparable to the 3850.

That thing oughtta perform damn fine, especially for source games.
