Sounds like he has 2 512 sticks in 1 and 3 right now. And he just bought 2 more 1 GB sticks. That's 4 sticks for a total of 3GB of RAM. Sounds okay to me.

Keiron - you and Mcstrange are correct. I have currently installed 2 - 512 sticks from the OEM. One is in slot 1 and other is in slot 3. The new ones I purchased are 2 - 1GB sticks and they are DDR2(240pin) at 667mhz. If I remember correct the package stated PC5300.

I will install the new RAM tonight and see what happens. From what I understand you have to put a lot of pressure down to get the tabs to "click". Thanks for the help.

Update - installed the RAM last night. Now have 3GB - up from 1GB and so far, so good. BF2 ran nicely. Thanks for the help.

Now I just need to upgrade my graphics card.
