    [FIXED]HELP!!!!

    PLEASE HELP ME!
Im getting BSOD (blue screen of death) everywhere, let me tell you what ive done to get to this point bc nothing is making sense and im quickly loosing hope.

Yesterday i bought another sata hd for another pc and removed the one it was using (replaced the storage 250gb sata 7200 rpm drive it was using wiht the one i bought an 80gb 10krpm) took the 250 and installed it to my main pc (had to remove my gpus and sound card to get it in). For a while ive had a copy of Vista 64x bit Ultimate and my comps in desperate need of a format so i figure i mise as well try it out.

So i load up a copy of ubuntu live and format the new drive though for some reason when i tried to write the new partition order to the hd the computer froze, so after 3 attempts of the same thing i figure ill just copy the stupid files from my main c drive over to a storage usb. After i think i have everything i power off, insert the vista setup cd and power on... While its booting i get a phone call and miss the "Press any key to boot" screen and my pc boots into xp. While its doing so i remember forgetting to copy my bookmarks from firefox and let xp load up. I login my desktop starts to load then bam everything freezes and i get a bsod. I retry everything again and still get a bsod.

Its just my bookmarks im thinking, so i just start the vista setup, format my c sata drive and install vista and it goes to restart to finish installation and i get ANOTHER fucking bsod.
I restart and try to load into vista and get a message saying "windows did not start problely and finsih setup please restart and reinstall" or something to that extent
So i start trouble shooting, i power off remove the newly installed hd and try installing again. Same thing i get the bsod when windows says its trying to "finish installation" after rebooting the 1st time.

So i power off, and take out my 2 gpus, and my sound card. I clear out most of the dust in the case (with come compressed air) and reinsert the cards. (new hd is still unplugged and un powered). Now i get to the green loading bar of either the preinstalled vista or the setup cd and i get a bsod which loads so fast that i cannot read what it says, except when i try to load the setup cd.

    Stop 0x00000124 0x0000000000000000 0xfffffa800191a5b0 0x00000000b2000000 0x000000000007f0f0f.
I think this is what the bsod is when i try to load vista on the hd but it restarts so fast its hard to be sure...

    Heres my pcs rough specs:
Asus sli board (looking for hte box with the exact specs like a80 something)
    2gb ram
    2X 7800gtx 'sli'ed
soundblaster xfi Platinum (looking for specs to be sure)
    1 raid card
    4x 500gb ide hd 7200 rpm(in raid)
    1hd 40gb 7200 hd
    1 80gb 10000 rpm hd.
g7 laser mouse and g15 keyboard

For now i have removed the raid card and the power cords for the 4 hd's
Ive tried booting with out the soundcard and eaither or of the 7800's in but still get the same bsod when i load into the setup cd.

GO figure Ubuntu 64bit and Knoppix work FUCKING FINE. (WINDOWS I JUST WANT YOU TO WORK FOR ONCE WIHT OUT PROBLEMS )

I just had a realization, the vista im trying to install is 64bit beta something Ultimate, ima try installing a freash version of xp and post what happends.

    Please help.

    Also if anyone knows where:
Book marks are kept for firefox
Account settings and inbox for Outlook 2007

Are keeped i would be enternally greatful for any help ( i copyed both the application data and local settings folders over as well as the programs files so i should have those files somewhere here...)

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

    Graham-

    Re: HELP!!!!

Looks like i got xp up and running.

Heres my best guess on what was happening from what i can see form the stupid dump files...

It looks like when i installed the extra hd, it triggered my bios to update the connected devices, this update some how triggered problems with some thing... Not sure what exactly and im pretty sure xp and vista have no idea either... Q_Q

sigh running xp now, installing mass amounts of crap to get back up and running feel free to pm me and keep me company during the so very intreging installation and loading bars....
