    BSOD

Not sure how long I am going to be out. My computer started to BSOD after I uninstalled my sound drivers last night. Hopefully its something that windows Repair can take care of. Its weird because I can get into safe mode with networking. So I am assuming I have a corrupted driver somewhere. It happens when the windows start up sound is supposed to happen, right after the windows loading screen. Unfortunatly it restarts instantly and i can't read the error code. I tried looking in the events viewer, but I could see anything in there. I might have to switch back to motherboard sound. The sound card was acting up a little. Would play peoples voices on vent in slow-mo. It was kind of funny.

What kind of card do you have? Did you install a new driver or just let it us the default? It sounds like a driver issue since you said it started after you uninstalled your sound drivers. Find a driver that works with your card/OS and try it, or switch to your onboard sound and see what happens.

My pat answer for almost everything now. Go back and do a system restore to a time prior to having the problem.

    Re: BSOD

I am pretty sure its just a driver problem. Its a Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Pro with the front audio panel. But I still want to check the ram (these boards are known for some bad memory controllers, evga 680i). So hopefully once I get the windows repair done right, it will work correctly. Luckily I can get it started in safe mode with networking on so I can at least transfer over all the files I have on the windows drive before I try and repair it.
