RAM showing up incorrectly
I just got a second stick of 1GB DDR 400 RAM, but my problem is that now it's showing up as DDR 333 instead of DDR400, which I know is what both my sticks are... Any idea what could be causing this?
And by "shows up" I mean "windows starting screen says so". Any way to check to make sure it's not just a glitch in that page?

Re: RAM showing up incorrectly
Its not really a dual channel problem.. When running ram of two different speeds the motherboard will default the ram to run at the speed of the slowest stick you have in there ... So if you have some 333 in there your 400 mhz ram will run at 333 . Only way around it is to get some more 400mhz ram and do away with the 333.

Re: RAM showing up incorrectly
You will need to boot up into your bios.. Most likely by hitting delete as you restart your pc.. Once in the bios look for anything that says RAM or DRAM options.. From there you should see what speed you are at with the memory and should be able to select ddr400... or really in essence its 200mhz ( ddr = double data rate so it comes out to 400 ) if you are in the bios and see that your ram is at 166 that really means its running at 333.. have I confused you yet? lol.. Look for a setting that says 200 or in fact it might say 400 depending on who made your motherboard.
What kind of board is it?
