compare it to that one. Your score is higher than that similar system.

Again I would expect you to be able to play BF2 at 1280x1024 with everything on high except maybe lighting and shadows with a playable framerate. How about this; what is your fps in BF2? I would expect you to be pushing over 60 which if you have Vsync on maybe as high as it will show.

    - Where and when did you get your system? If you bought from newegg you maybe able to return it and exchange for the 9600 if its only been a few days. They are pretty good with their service and return policy.

As a comparison your looking probably around an 11000+ 3dmark with either the the 9600 which runs everything nearly as well as the 8800gt.

    Re: HELP needed

if i were you i woulda saved some money by not getting the 850W PSU. since its only 10 days old i would return it for a 600W and use the xtra cash to upgrade to the 8800GT. dont go SLI, trade the 8600 and the 850W in for the 8800GT.

    Re: HELP needed

Wait a minute, you got this ?
BFG Tech BFGE86512GTOC2FE GeForce 8600GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
I have to say YUCK. thats a ton of money for what you get. The less expensive 8800gt cards are only 10 or so more dollars and have twice the pixel pushing power.

If your going to exchange give newegg 20 more dollars and get one of these: EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

If they are just going to refund you and you buy a new card this would save you 30 bucks and still deliver twice the pixel power as the 8600:
EVGA Superclocked GeForce 9600GT 512-P3-N862-AR Video Card - Retail

Hopefully they will work with you as your holding that system back with that 8600 card.

    Re: HELP needed

Well, Newegg isn't just going to smile when I send the card back. They want a $30 restocking fee. I think I'll keep the card and use it in another system. I'm sure it will do photoshop well....

    Thanks again...

    Re: HELP needed

    Thats a solid card.

Or, if you can do it:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130318
    eVGA 8800 GT 512
    229.99 - 30.00 mail in rebate = 199.99
