    I know it's the 256mb instead of the 512, but this thing screams in bf2. I have all my settings on high running 1024x768 and I have no lag whatsoever. Where you having problems with lag with your 8600gt? Your problem could be something else.

    My problem is i am only getting a 5300ish on 3dMark06... I had something close before I upgraded. I feel like my upgrade was a wasted effort. Not to mention my displeasure with Vista and it's damn security policies. It's my computer, why can't I be the admin of it? And how come I have to "authorize" every damn mouse click....

    I am so tired of VISTA that I am tempted to pull out one of the RAM Chips and reload WIn XP. With being below the 4 GB limit, I would at least have a stable OS to work with.

    After that, I will get a big hammer.

    You can fix the security issues with one simple program...

    I did not disable UAC completely, I turned off notification, and it works great. I prefer not running everything as Administrator if I can avoid it.
