Mouse thoughts?
So I am in the market for a new mouse and would like your opinions. Here is my current mouse and it has been great...only wireless mouse I have ever bought that was suitable for gaming.

Now the wireless is starting to flake out on a mouse which I have loved. I am thinking I need to get a wired mouse because I don't want this to happen again. Thoughts?
Here are the two mice I have been looking at what do you guys think I should go with? Also list others if you think there are mice out there that are better than these two. I am looking to spend between $30 and $100.

I've never liked the squareness of the G9, that's why I got a G5 for Christmas and I love it.

The G5 has 2000dpi as opposed to the 1600 of the MX518. Both are great mice though, you'd be happy with either one.
The G5 also has the benefit though of being able to change the amount weight it has, which can help you control your actions a little better. Too light for you and you'll be moving the mouse faster than you need to, espeically if you have a low sensitivity in game. Too much weight and it could be a pain to move regardless. But even with the max weight it's still not that heavy, as I have the max weight in mine and it suites me perfectly.

I just got the Razer Lachesis:

I have only been using it about a week now but i just couldn't deal with the wireless I had.. yeah, no more batteries. It is super sensitive and very very light. Personally, I would prefer a little more weight and a bit more of a hump in the back to fit the palm of my hand better since I tend to use my whole hand to move the mouse, so I will have to get use to using my fingers more to control it, but if you like quick and sensitive it is great. I have experienced the occasional cursor jump that they talk about and am happy to hear that there is a patch for that; I don't use the side buttons so there is no issue there for me, but it is so light that I could see that it might be a problem if you use them a lot. I haven't really figured out the bells and whistles but I should be able to adjust the sensitivity on the fly. Besides that, I got the one with the blue lighting to match the lighting on my tower and it just looks great. Some good advice I have heard about this, once you narrow it down to a gaming mouse (which are going to probably all be USB hardwired) is to decide how you use the mouse best... quick and light using your fingers mostly or if you like a little weight and something that fills your palm... I was more ham-handed but want to learn to use my fingers, so I plant the heel of my hand for a base and push the mouse around using my fingers, which seems to make it quicker and much more responsive.
