Well with that attitude just play with what you have.
Then when you go off to college quit gaming and never look back.

lol.. "Mac's don't get viruses..." I own a mac pro, And From all the shit I deal with day to day at school using 1 of the many mac's here, I can tell you... They can contract a virus... What makes you think they can't... Cause ever Mac owner your run into is a smug P.o.S? "my mac is the best thing, I've ever bought." I can't stand a mac owner that thinks his computer is the end all and be all... Problem is, if you do contract a virus on a mac, good luck fixing it... You have to have apple do all the work. Because they made their computers so user proof that you wont understand what your looking at.

I use both PC and Mac, I would honestly say a PC is a better overall computer... It puts the power back into the user and takes it out of Mr. Job's grasp... When you have a problem with a PC, you have choices. When you have a problem with a mac, you have no choices.

Also, I'm a student... I play games.... I run windows.... I don't get viruses cause I'm not retarded.

    werd.

i also have an AGP board. my next upgrade will be to PCIe. but i currently run with the BFG NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS OC 512MB AGP. i believe i have it on high settings (i only play BF2142), and the only problem i have is when i get explosions right in front of me. i also run at a high resolution. i'll try to remember to do a 3dmark tonight (been wanting to do that for a bit anyway).

i picked up the card from newegg i think for around $150.

    Re: AGP motherboard owners.

Does anyone have a 24 pin power supply laying around.(500 Watts i hope).
I would spend $99.99 for a mobo, $99.99 for a processor, $99.99 for new ram, and $99.99 for a video card. I don't want to buy a new power supply thought. I just bought a really nice ultra power supply. 1 cable per componet.(All of the cables are in one little bundle.) Would $400 be a decent upgrade. I want to upgrade to the point where i get 30-50 fps on decent settings on DOD:s and CS:S and i don't want to lag when theres 32 people.
