Going all out
lol bet i double my benchmarks my mobo now is dead and old. parts not working cant OC at all. I know the 939 is dead but i just recently bought a new chip for my current mobo thats 939 and i need this to fly under the radar. So no one will ask why did you send $500 on a computer part?

Re: Going all out
I have this Mobo's big brother and have built several systems with that Mobo as well. Rock solid mobo with lots of BIOS options when it came out. Should serve you fine.
Note the SLI mode is dual 8x and not dual 16x.
Also, the chipset cooling on these early A8N boards is a little weak, so if you plan to OC you might want to add some sinks or something.
But this a great, if dated mobo.

Re: Going all out
Yeah, your new mobo might eek out a few more points; it overclocks nicely if it is anything like the Premium or Deluxe versions. But OCing nicely in its time was much smaller than these Intel OCs people are doing now.
Really with that AMD CPU you just cant OC as far as people are doing with the new intels. Those guys pushing 3+ Ghz on their 2Ghz CPUs is way out of that CPU's potential range. With care and proper cooling you might get as high as 2.6~2.8 from what I have seen of those AMDs; but dont for a moment go compare your numbers to the Core 2 crowd.
7754 3dmarks is plenty to play most new games just fine. And if you can get up to 2.4~2.6 it will be golden and you might get 8 to 9k 3dmarks...of course most of this is pure speculation! Good luck, and nice find on that Mobo, it was 140 or so when it was the new deal.
