I am guessing it cannot use an AGP and a PCI-E card at the same time, and that you cant have both DDR and DDR2 RAM running simultaneously. So you have the OPTION of using either.
So ask yourself... what are you using now?
If you have DDR2 and PCI-E graphics already, screw this mobo!
If you want to transition slowly and are using DDR and/or AGP now this MIGHT be good.
That being said I never recommend "transitioning" as your long term cost is higher. Just save a small bundle and buy all the new stuff you *need* at one time.
I personally would never use a transitional board like this; too much room for buginess with all those ad hoc busses.

Dont really know how accurate their statements are as it does look like a scraping the barrel mobo to me.
I always thought the point of OCing was to make your cheap hardware as fast as the expensive hardware...

this is almost the same board as my 775dual vsta...................dual core vs. quad core. Asrock doesnt allow you to change voltage on the vsta, which means you cant OC a 2.66g Pentium D805 farther than 3.4g. this sux because 3.6g is the sweet spot for the D805.
but considering you can plug almost anything into this board, including 5 different types of RAM i think its a great bang for the buck without having to upgrade all your other hardware.

I also stated that my opinion is the board is not worth using because of it's transitional architecture.
So why dont you stop being so sensitive, realize I was never on anything of yours to back off of. You said "dont expect it to be overclock friendly though," and I was simply relaying the manufacturer claims it is. I also say that their claim is not worth much.
The board is crap and thats what I stated in more words. You said it "looks good" and I disagree. This is about helping nightfall evaluate this board. I mention that overclocking is how you get cheap parts to mimic the expensive parts because this is a cheap Mobo. Please note that I mention the reasons the board fails my evaluation; not that it is "good" or "bad." Also note, nightfall did not ask is this mobo good AND CAN I OC IT?
Your response was basically "the mobo is good but you cant OC it."
The problem is:
A: Mobo not good.
B: you can OC it, maybe not high due to the voltage issues but this is irrelevant anyway because he did not ask about it.
Dont take it personally when my recommendation disagrees with yours. Especially when I did some research on the part and you just say "good" without saying why. I am here to help them, not fight with you, so do not attack me.
Back on topic:
I still do not recommend transitional mobos.

Yes the board is crap.
To some this is what people need for some odd reason.
Just because Bigdog is in love with AGP does not mean others need to follow.
For AGP this might be the newest item you can get.
I think you might hear from all of us that it is better just to do a complete overhaul and go LGA775 PCIx16 and ddr2
