it only stays up so long.
but i am woundering if faulty ram or video card would cause this...
saddly i think it might be my video cards beacause i have seen it say something about direct x
not exact errors
directx
usb
paged fualt in no paged area

so not exact but its hard to find a pen and paper when it only shows the error for 5 secs

Re: faulty hardware
To find event history............
goto control panel....Admin Tools......event viewer......
When you are in admin tools, click on "windows logs" and then "application", both are in the left column. once you have clicked on those, in the middle column will show little circled "I"'s and information written beside it...... Start scrolling down till you find an "!" and start from there. It will show you time and dates when it occured and give you some breakdowns of what cause it and such.
What kinda card/cards do you have? I have a 8600gt 512mb that im looking to get rid of. Gets 90 to 100 FPS in bf2142, runs crysis fairly well on high settings ect ect..... I have barley used it, maybe for a week. I have 2 of them and wanted to try the other one and it was the same performance so i never switched back. Let me know there mike...

Re: faulty hardware
To add...... I had some Directx Probs to.... allot when i first got vista 64, I have a few fixes saved in my bookmarks on firefox if you want them send me a p.m. and i can set you up with those. Also, if anything go and reinstall direct x. If you have the bf2142 disk, goto "computer" on the desktop....right click on the cd drive with 2142 in it and click "explore".....
There is a Directx folder in there you should click on and install the direct x from there so you know for sure you are using the right one.
