I just installed my 8800gts 512MB videa card and went to open frontlines. Game loads fine and when i get to the actual game play it will pasue for about 2 to 3 seconds every 10 seconds or so. I used the driver off the cd that came with it so i am downloading the driver from nvidia and going to try it. I tried that new creative sound blaster for vista and got rid of it right away. Didnt work for me. I was wondering if you guys could think of anything that it could be..... Before my 8800 i had the 8600 gt and everything worked fine so "I dunno".

did you play it yesturday after the SP update?

Yeah, after i updated i was still able to play. The driver from the web site didnt help either. Gears of war, in the loading screen for about 30 secs and straight to desktop. Event view doesnt really say much as far as the game stops interacting with windows.

regardless of which one it was, did you UNinstall the previous driver for it?

If not, go to add-remove programs and uninstall every video driver that shows up there, reboot and install the latest from the nVidia website then report back here.

Done that too. I tried bf2142 and it worked just fine as apposed to the games that just came out and were ready for the vista/8800/dual core world.

I no i wrote this somewhere else. But someone should seriously make an epic left 4 dead side scroller. My idea was that you can only see into rooms if you go near a window or enter the house and you can do all the stuff you normally do, like shove the zombies, throw mollytovs and bile, use pills med kits and defibs. get pinned incapacitated and maybe have halos telling you where your teamates are if theyre in another room. and maybe if we are lucky you couldplay versus with other people like on exitpath or achievment unlocked2. And maybe make it so that you can customize your own survivor, specialinfected and edit a common infected for S#@ts and gigs. And you could get this stuff by breaking dressers, opening closets or killing enough infected to earn credits... then you could make your own special campaigns for this and add in new specs in. PLZ people! this could be like the user generated demo of a left 4 dead 3! Complete with ai teamates and enemies and guns at random spots and everything. Someone make this work cuz im tired of 1 and 2 and the 4k version is gay! So post if like the idea peeps
