well it would work great for a pub game. if you had about 8 friends together and wanted a true match then great. but in a lot of pub games its just a roll of the dice so a lot of the times its very uneven teams skill wise. so your either left with the option to quit, take a hefty beating, or deal with the shame of being treated like a total newb. so with the handicap scale it would keep some balance for those random pub games. better a team start to lose points because the game got harder for them than them just fing off to let the other team catch up imo. Its hard to catch up to a good team if your about 1000 points off, really hard. And im sure the better team would get more satisfaction out of the game if they still 'owned' even though they where having to deal with an expert or an adv. horde....

they should of put in the blog concerning VS. Booted within 20 secs of the game? Some so called 'leader' spouting out BS to the point you cant even walk five steps without getting him pissed and getting a vote for a boot? Best team mates being on the other team for the fact they give you a chance? Since your own teammates may some sort of fag like strat. and dont include, expecting you to read minds?.. Baically saying VS is a minor version of any other multi player game now adays where people generally have shit for brains and no concept of why we play VS, or what would make a VS game fun, and a challange. i can play it for 2 min and feel like i just now walked into the game after around 4 years of l4d experiance. hard if none of hour friends think the game is worth a shit, and would rather stick pins in their anal cavity then play with you fool. tiss the diss of the pub fools. random as rain,
