Partitions help if you want to keep the programs and media files safe / seperate from the OS in case you get viral and have to do a repair or reinstall . Then you only lose the updates and everything on the OS partition not your entire data . Also helps you by keeping it seperate for defrags and such. :2

    Tournaments?

I was thinking - because we all know full well that there are going to be people who want to play as part of a regular team. Rather than have a full ladder for the teams, the modification we're using allows us to hold knockout-style tournaments on a one-off basis.

What it also does is keeps a record of how many tournaments members have entered and how many they won, and enters the most successful members in a hall of fame.

Now, I'm not suggesting we do it every week, but perhaps if we held a tournament for dedicated teams on a monthly or bi-monthly basis or something along those lines, we can have the best of both worlds. We'd only need four teams to hold a tournament, and if we allow any member with over a certain number of posts to create and recruit for a team, I imagine we'll have plenty of entries.

    Thoughts?

I like it. It gives those of us with teams an excuse to stack up without the other forumers crying foul.

Exactly. Plus those guys who do want to play in a team will be happier to mix it with others they don't know if they know that there's a chance to play competitively in teams of their choice just round the corner.

Redemption and I were thinking about doing this as well. Our thinking was you could take the highest individuality ranked players for a month and let those guys be captains, then hold a draft for them to pick teams.

This way you don't get those super teams as people will be forced to pick teammates from a pool of all ranked players.

Also, we should give these teams time to practice together (say 4 days) before the tournament is held.
