8 price drops on XfX at Tiger Direct

If you just got a tax refund, like me you might be temepted to try a new card , XfX is one of the best G Card brands I know of , lifetime warranty if registered 30 days from purchase date.

Im getting the 8800 GS AlphaDog Ed.

I know the 900 series is the new state of art card, but they are way over my price range. :2

There they go with those awkward RAM numbers though 384MB? WTF is that? Not too bad a price though for a 8800.

The 9600 GT should be just as good though if not a little better for a little more:

Plus it has a nice logical number for V-RAM like 512 instead of 384.

Either card wouldn't be a bad idea though for the prices listed.

heh the 8800 was cheap , and 384 VRAM beats my 8500GT 256 any day , so I actually ordered the Aplha Dog Ed. 8800 GS, comes in tommorow. :2

8800 GS decent card , had a $15 price drop this month , and the $30 rebate is still up for grabs.
Installed it other day , very nice frame rates (from what I was used to) super clean graphics, long ass card almost ran out of room in my Centurion 5 case , its power 6 pin plug is right next to the HD . One complaint, noisy fan on the card .

Good budget card to get DX 10 games running , running with a 450 watt PSU no problem! :2
