Firefox suddenly unable to load google and google related sites?

Within the last day or two i've found that i am unable to load any google related pages (with the exception of youtube?).
The connection just times out.
I am able to access this beloved search engine via proxy, but i find it inconvenient and the problem remains unsolved.

Why might this be happening?

IE 6 is also unable to load the page.

OS: Windows XP

Firefox is my primary browser and i use it with the add-on NoScript.
Trend micro anti-virus, Spyware doctor, Ad-aware, and Norton have been unable to locate any malware or spyware that might be causing this problem.

well i flushed the my DNS cache, cleared my cookies, and made sure google hadn't changed their IP on me.

After a restart i seem to have access again.

I had this problem like 2 weeks ago! I was having performance issues at the time as well, But after a reinstall everything worked fine. It sucked badly. I had to use the shitty yahoo search engine... Firefox would always time out when I would try to use google.
