    Help Soy pick a laptop!

OK, so I got myself a real job doing some web development stuff; boy I tell ya what, this gig sure does beat being the Chef!

In any case, my client/boss likes me so much he has offered to get me a new laptop so I can work from home more (I already do about 15 to 20 hours at home).

    I am liking this guy:

Any recommendations? I will be ordering before I leave the office today.

    Thanks.

I don't know too much about computers but that really looks like a sweet deal. It comes with quite a bit of stuff plus has great memory and graphics are good for gaming.

Yeah, that's one of the best deals for the current ASUS line (which I really like). The 9500 is basically the same as teh previous 8600GT, which is a good card. How portable were you looking to be?

Those 15.4" are big almost the same as a desktop. Keep that in mind if portability is important. Can't go wrong with Asus. I like Lenovo. They make IBM Think Pad. They are always lighter than other comparable laptops and more affordable.

My current laptop is 15.4" and 7.2 pounds.. so that guy is smaller and much higher powered. I like the fact that I could game on it if I choose to.

Mainly I will be editing graphics, web design, a tid bit of coding, and of course, surfing TTP!

Yeah, I was considering a smaller one (my GF has a 13.1 and I am jealous) but since I do a lot of graphics work now (both for fun and professionally) I figured I would stay in the 15.4" range. If/when I go back to school I will get a 13". This 15.4 and a couple of math/physics texts in the same bage is a nightmare!

Haha, excellent! Yeah, I'm using an A8Js as my main gaming machine right now, and yours pulls a good 1500 more 3dmarks than mine. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
