Hrm... I will look into these then... See what size and speed I get for the $600 I am willing to spend on HDD
I'm just thinking $600 will give me really really fast speeds (faster then I've ever had since I've had all large drives for my primary system) and still 600gb will hold ALL of my runtime applications.
I'm worried that with a SSD I'm going to have to keep moving my active games into and out of storage. Which I suppose isn't such a bad thing I don't play a large variety at the same time as long as I remembered which directory to put them in.

Do this and split the difference.
1. 16g SSD to run your OS and maybe 1 game you play all the fucking time
1. 150g Velociraptor for the rest of the stuff you want to be fast
Less than 600 dollars and you get pretty damn fast and still have enough space to actually do something with.

I'll have time to think about this as the Velociraptors don't release till "mid may" they are only available in alienware systems till then
