Yep, I would kill to get a 64GB or 128GB SSD for my laptop, but they're prohibitively expensive still. I can be patient, it'll be worth the wait when those prices come down something more reasonable. (32GB is a bit too small for my needs, a lot of my development tools and shit take up a ton of space.)

Even a 150gb is $170+. You don't need all your files on a 10,000RPM drive, so dropping $300+ if not $400 on such a big drive is a waste of money, especially in terms of $$$/performance.

The performance of the reviews on the velociraptors are impressive. Its quieter, cooler, consumes less power and runs 35% faster then the Raptor. The SSD is going to beat all of that (its hella quieter, hella cooler, consumes even less power, and will run much faster). I just don't know if $18.75/GB is worth it.
Something to think about, for sure. I really appreciate the sounding board you guys offer.
