Sound Card Help

Guys I need to buy a decent sound card for CSS. I already have a Senheisser headset so I don't need anything drastic. I just want something that will improve my sound from onboard.

I am looking at cards in the price range of about $50.

What onboard sound card do you have? Some of the newer onboard sound cards actually arent that bad. If you are using a stereo headset, then I almost want to say what is the point? If you are looking for a performance gain, then I understand, but honestly, you may not notice much of a difference.

i know exactly what mobo rage has...the same gigabyte one i had.....its plain jane crappy onboard hoolbah fart noise for footsteps sound quality. (yeah i just made that up)

The 2 cards listed above are really his only reasonable options within the 50 dollar range

if you can get the xtreme gamer..by all means get that one....thats a good card...especially for 60 bux.....thats your winner right there....

only b/c i can order at home and driev 7 minutes and pick it up,....sometimes theyre teh cheaper than newegg on some stuff....check it out.
