Heh, I have seen a system that took 10 minutes to boot up because of Norton. Once it was uninstalled, it took about 1 minute.

Norton is piece of shit and gobbles up cycles. Toss it and just be smart about what you surf.

AVG, Avast and Antivir are all pretty equal as far as free Antivirus solutions are concerned. I've been using AVG, but recently decided to give Antivir a try. The reviews/comparisons I've read said it's the best of the bunch at detecting threats.

hahah, j/k- (hopefully) but ya, i used to work for an on-site IT company, and the first thing we did on any machine was uninstall norton/mcafee- and sell them a new A/V lawl.

weird how old people swear by norton....
