steam keeps closing

ok so i have tried everything except for a re-install.

Everytime I open steam it opens then says connecting account jasonjinx then closes on its own.

I have disabled everything no virus scanners are running etc.

I tried to repair/re-install and no luck same thing happens. I have opened the program manager and looked at everything running and it is not there.

Any ideas before I delete and re-install steam?

hehe...prolly cause your sig is 162 pixels in height, and steam only recognizes 150 pixels in height as the TTP standard for sig sizes. :9

Is it running in the background? I had an issue like that a long while ago, but I can't remember what I did.

Anyways, I'd try the reinstall next. First, do yourself a favor and back everything up. Use Steam's backup system, it's slow but does a good job. That way, you don't have to do the slow reinstall process, just a minor quick download.

I would probably recommend doing a complete uninstall. Your games are saved to your account so that won't be a problem. It would be best to start it off fresh on your computer, better safe than sorry.
