Voice chat sound thru Headphones only, Other game sounds thru 5.1 speakers.
Anybody know of a setup that would acomplish this? I play COD4 and have an X-fi gamer soundcard. I also have X-fire but dont use it except for screenshots.

you should be able to go into Control Panel, select Sounds and Audio Devices, Click on the audio tab, and set your speakers as the default playback device, and your headset as the default voice recording device and click apply.

That should work, i tried and it worked on mine. other then that i have no clue lol

...You mean "voice playback" for the headset, but yes, that works fine and is a nice way to do it. That was quite easy in the XP control panel, but I haven't found quite the same flexibility in the Vista control panel. I think it's probably there somewhere, but I'm new to Vista.
