Re: Fastest computer yet, unveiled
I don't care how fast the damn thing is.... can it keep an internet connection to EA? That's what I want to know. Plus, once Microsoft get's their hands on it, their sure to fuck it up in no time at all..... can someone say "Blue screen of death", but now in High Definition and in High speed.... lol.

I bet it can't play Crysis for shit. Massively parallel processing systems like that have a very unique methodlogy of programming. And Crysis will be hanging for awhile while the system decides what each of those bizzillion processors will do during its cycle; plus, as stated, it probably has shit for a GPU (they really only need 2d) and probably doesnt even have a PCI-E! Although if they wanted to hook one to it they could.
The technology here is actually quite similar to the chipset in a newer GPU except on a much larger scale. Rather than 128 streaming 600mhz processors, you have bizzilion streaming dual core 2.8 (or whatever)ghz processors.
Qool stuff. Contraptions like this and the new evolution of massively parallel computing will allow us to model things we only dreamed of a few years ago. Gotta love Moore's law...
