Re: Wii WiFi problems
I got a Linksys wireless (and wired) router just after getting my Wii, specifically so I could use the Wii online, and it's worked out fine. Model number is WRT54GL, I followed the configuration instructions in the box. What model do you have? Did you get it brand new, and did it never work with your PC from day one?

Re: Wii WiFi problems
i have the same setup described above... cable modem to wireless firewall/router (linksys BEFW11S4. yes, i know how old it is). i have a pc connected wired to it, and my wii and ps3 connected wireless to it, with 128-bit WEP encryption (yes, i know flamers, it's the strongest this baby has). i have no open ports from the internet to the firewall/router, and i haven't had a problem with it yet.
sorry if this doesn't help you any, but just wanted to let you know that the problem doesn't sound like a linksys issue, or a wireless issue. as said earlier, if you have a physical connection from your pc to the router, and your pc can't get out to the internet, then it seems there is either a problem physically with the router, or it's configured incorrectly.
suggestions would be to download the latest firmware for the router, reset to factory defaults on the router, then re-configure it.
good luck.
