Thread: firefox 3 released! help set a new world record!

Safer, more efficient, smaller footprint (maybe.) Most recent version of IE I've seen was in my dad's Vista computer, and it loads pages about five times as slow as my rig using Firefox. We use the same level of internet connection, from the same provider, and his computer is better than mine.

IE advertises tabbed browsing, but I can say from experience that Firefox handles it more efficiently.

Firefox is just plain better. People will use IE anyway, I guess, but since Firefox is free, I see absolutely no reason to use IE anymore unless the situation demands it.

btw in other great news firefox 3 already has it first security issue (joyous isn't it?) apparently its a major browser exploit which the company that found it did not wish to mention (though they said it involved clicking a link to a site so *shrugs*) anyways supposedly its being worked on though for the next update. Yeah, I read about that....doesn't instill much confidence in my opinion.

Also, weren't they supposed to fix the memory leaks? Geez.



For the record, I use both IE and FF. I've thought of trying Opera as well, but many have said it's not as easy to work with.

Firefox is faster and more secure. You will get alot less pop-ups and malware.

Also, the tabbed browsing in FF is much better.
