Best bang for the buck at the moment.
But that may change when Nvidia releases the drivers for the 8800GT and GTS that enable hardware Phys-X on the cards.
But of course, your favorite games would have to support that for it to matter.
In the meantime, AMD has a winner on its hands with this card.

yes.
But it may not matter much to you. I do not know yet if that requires one card for the graphics and one for the physics so that an SLI rig is very optimized or if a single card can handle everything. Also, keep in mind that a game has to support it for it to matter.
Nvidia says that by July all 8 and 9 series cards will support Phys-X on the card.

8800gt still beats this card in all the benchmarks ive found.....

edit---- looked up some more benchmarks and seems like the 8800gt and this card are neck and neck. Nvidia also has a 9800gtx+ coming out in a month. Heres some benchmarks comparing all the cards in that price range http://pcper.com/article.php?aid=580&type=expert&pid=4

nvidia also announced that the 9800GTXs are going to only be priced at 229 bux for the PLUS versions and 200 for the plain ones.

THOSE are going to be the best bang for the buck. I just spent 800 dollars for 2 8800GTXs a few months ago.
