Thread: New Laptop on the way, mmm

My old laptop was given to me by my brother's company for free (dell inspiron 9400, dual core, 256ram FX card)....it was definitely nice. Unfortunately, when I go out of town I cannot run games very well on this. After having a nice rig at home, gaming on a mediocre laptop does not cut it. I decided to sell the laptop to a friend and get a new laptop suitable for my gaming needs.

I know there are a lot of dell haters out there, but I honestly LOVE their support. I have never had an issue with them and they always give prompt service whenever its needed.

I decided to go with their flashy new gaming laptop, the dell xps m1730:

It is definitely a cool laptop and I especially like the fact that it has an LCD just like the Logitech g15 keyboard that can toggle much more than just video game information. The LED lights can also be programmed to 17 different colors AND the keyboard is backlit which is a HUGE plus for me bc I am always on my laptop in the dark.

And the best part? The laptop with the same config on dell goes for 3700 and I got it for less than 2000, including tax.

Our company's partner here in town owns a lot of Taco bells and Pizza Huts and he is on the National Board for Pepsicola. Apparantly he knows some dell execs which gave me a serious hookup

Its strictly a mobile desktop so I can pwn on the road!!!

I believe its in the neighboorhood of 10lbs.....I can lift that much weight with my, uh.....nm :2
