Vid card cannot start, error code 10

So all of a sudden my games have been freezing up. Causing me to have to reboot about every few seconds into the game. I went and updated my Nvidia Geforce 8500gt with the latest drivers. Rebooted, now I get an error under the device manager that says. Nvidia Geforce 8500gt cannot start. (Code 10).... I've uninstalled the card. rebooted and tried to install it all over again. same scenario happens again. I even changed pci slots thinking maybe that had something to do with it.

I dont know what it is but it never seems to recognize the card or tries to start it. It says driver has been updated, you can now reboot and your card will work properly. Bla bla bla... its still doesnt work after boot up.
Its pissen me off cause even on the internet when i try and scroll down on a page it is slow as hell and i get that line that runs horizontally down the page.

Im sure someone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it. thanks guys

and it also appears my boot up screens have messed up characters and in my bios, all the characters are messed up... its hard to read what some of the choices are.

I cant believe no one has seen this before.

It could be a cooling problem? Can you read the screen well enough to look at your GPU core temperature? You might have to re-apply your cooler.

temps are fine. Im starting to guess it more a problem with the mobo then the graphics card itself. Its really starting to piss me off, and Im about to give up. Guess Ill try and get a diff mobo driver. Thats about my last option since I really dont know what else to try. Ive tried googling the problem... Nothing seems to be helping.

Well im contacting the manufacturer about this since its still under the once year parts and labor warranty. For now I'll be playing on my brothers old p.o.s. computer with its leet nvidia geforce 5200 256gb card... oh yeah... bitches look out hahaha

I use to have to play with that graphics card, yeaaaahhh, thats so shit, good luck trying to get 60 fps with everything on high....I wish i could help you but thats a nasty problem.
