Can you name every PC you've ever owned?
The AMD/Intel thread made me think of this. Let's see how well I can do...
1993 (? - I was probably about 12) Acer Intel Pentium 90MHz (returned to Best Buy one week later because it overheated)
1993 (?) Compaq Intel 486 dx2 66MHz
1996 Intel Pentium 200MHz "MMX" built by local computer store
1999 First self build with the help of a friend - Intel Celeron 200MHz overclocked to 533MHz (only O/C build I've ever done, these days I just run stock)
2001 Self built AMD Athlon 1.4GHz
2003 Self built Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz (stupidly, a SFF in a Shuttle case, what a bad idea and waste of money)
2006 Self built Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
Looking at the timeline I'm due for an upgrade and usually when I upgrade I start from scratch, new case/mobo and all... but honestly socket 775 has survived longer than the old formats and my current mobo can still handle the newest processors, so I might just do it that way.

Re: Can you name every PC you've ever owned?
Commodore Vic 20
Commodore 64
Commodore 16
Commodore 128
Amiga 500
386DX40
486DX2-66 (Both custom builds)
486DX4-100 (overdrive if I remember right)
Pentium 60 (custom with the floating point bug)
Acer P100
Pentium 200 (custom)
Cyrix 233+ (custom)
P2 400 Xeon (custom from CDW I think)
P3 650 (think it was actually a 666)
P3 1.2Ghz (custom)
P4 2 Ghz (custom)
Athlon 64 don't remember the speed... 2500 might be right (custom)
Athlon FX53 (custom)
Athlon X2 4800+ (custom) current
But that's not all my systems...
Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop
Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop
Dell XPS Laptop
Dell XPS2 Laptop
Alienware M7700 laptop (current)
And that doesn't include ANY of my collection of old machines including a very rare Apple ]I[ that was never recalled. That's an interesting story... And I'm gonna tell you right now... Like it or not. The apple 3 was a TANK... steel construction and weighed a ton. The motherboard would flex when it heated up and the socketed chips would unseat themselves causing the machine to lock up and not boot. Take a guess what apple's pre-recall solution to that was... No... c'mon and guess... Ok fine. They suggested picking up the machine about 6 inches and DROPPING IT onto the desk. Whereupon the chips might reseat themselves. This was an 8000 dollar machine in 1980 and they were instructing people to toss it around like a toy.
The other interesting piece (though I have a number of them) is a brand new, in-the-box, AT&T 8086 machine. Still shrink wrapped. I think it was a many multiple thousand dollar machine at the time, and I bought it for 20 dollars I think 10 or 15 years ago.
I'm sure I missed a few of my systems in the list from the early PC years as I had a bunch... And most of the later ones are a constant stream of gradual upgrades and I just put the motherboard/cpu upgrades in the list. And it's only my primary system. I have had a few secondary systems for such things as home theatre systems.
Just remember... You asked.

1988 Packard Bell 386, no Math Co-Processor but it did run at a whopping 16 Mhz and I had 4 MB of RAM and a 40 MB HDD. I played mostly flight sims on it.
1995 Gateway 486DX-66 with 32 MB of RAM a 500 MB HDD ran Windows 95. It was provided to me by work, and it totally sucked, even for its time.
1997 Packard Bell Pentium 233MMX with 64 MB of RAM and a 6.4 GB HDD. I also added a Voodoo2 SLI to it for AMAZING performance in QuakeGL and Quake II
2001. My first build that was all my own. Athlon 500 Slot A on an Abit KA-133 (VIA chipset) board. 128 MB of PC-100, my 6.4 GB drive from the pacbell, and an Nvidia TNT AGP card. This machine was upgraded to include a Geforce 2 GTS, an Athlon 800 that I OCed using a GFD to 1.1 GHZ and 256 MB PC-133.
2003. New build. Athlon XP Skt A. 1.4 Ghz Barton core on Nforce2 MSI board. 256 MB of RAM and an 80GB WD JB series. It started out with a Geforce III TI-500, but It ended up with an ATI Radeon 9800XT. Onboard sound has never been as good since the NF2 days. Nvidia would do well to bring back SoundStorm. This one was also my first case mod project, I painted it and put a window in what was just a plain old beige Enlight Case
2004 New Build (Mostly) Athlon 64 3200 on an MSI Nforce III chipset. 512 MB of RAM, same 80GB drive as before. Same 9800XT vidcard as before. I did not have this one long, I used the guts to build my mom a new computer when the Nforce 4 boards came out shortly later
I built this one in a Chieftec Dragon case that I modded to include a window, custom fan holes, custom fan grills, a pre-amp for the audio, and some custom cable runs. I still use this case to this day.
2005-present. Opteron 165 Skt 939 on Asus Nforce4 SLI board. 2 GB of RAM, 120 GB Seagate Barracuda. Started out with a Geforce 7900GT, but now I have an 8800GTS. It will play all DirectX 9 games at max res and details for my monitor. When a DX10 game catches my interest, then I will either find an FX60 CPU to put in it or do a major upgrade depending on my budget at the time.Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.
