    Pre-Builts

since we have a lot of pre-builts at my house, and i'm going to be moving plus hopefully (if i have any money left after rent, food, books etc.) saving to make a sweet desktop computer, I'm wondering if it worth it to try to upgrade a pre-built computer at all, or should i just wait till i get the money to make one from scratch?

    ask yourself:
is there anything in the pre-builts that I wanna keep?

at the very least, you can save atleast 50 bucks by using a prebuilt's case, lol.

Really it is a matter of what is in the pre-built now and what can it take.

Some are crap that you can barely upgrade, others are fully upgradeable.

Personally, my favorite systems have been ones I built from scratch (except for an optical drive, or floppy, etc.)

Even if your brand name box is not upgradable, some parts can be kept for a custom rig to save some dough.
Optical drive, Hard Drive, floppy (if you still live in the 90s), and sometimes other things can go into a custom machine and save some money.
    Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.
