RuDy's Rig?
Well, I need a new rig in general, mainly to run CSS, TF2, have better performance, speed, memory, etc. This is what I was looking at.
Rudy’s Rig
Case - Needs to look nice, but not Alienware sexy.
9800 GT
Standard DVDrom Burn/Read drives
320 GB HDD (7200 rpm)
2 GB RAM
Necessary Power Supply (500W?)
Necessary Cooling Unit
Windows Vista Home Premium
MoBo that works with the 9800.
Creative Labs Audigy (Sound Card)
(That should cover everything, I believe)
Salvaged:
Speakers
Monitor
Router
Questions:
Is there any way I can run a dual-boot of XP and Vista? That would be great. Although, would this be expensive? I know Bunni has dual boot.
If I were to convince the parents to fork out the money, it would be built by bigdog for sure.
Anyways, does this sound like a nice rig? Can anyone give me a rough estimate? I was thinking $1000 - $1300, but I may be wrong. (Including the dual-boot)
Thanks,
RuDy
